Behind Enemy Lines: Q&A with a Dolphins blogger

This is the second installment of a series of Q&A with other AFC East bloggers to gain their perspective.  Dan Eliesen from Phins Phocus

1. What was your first take from the Dolphins' draft weekend?

Well in prior drafts, I have gone into the draft with high expectations and have been very disappointed, this year I think Miami's front office did a great job in balancing need and talent. Miami addressed several needs in this draft while adding players who can help contribute to making the Dolphins a better team.

2. How do you think the Dolphins are going to address the quarterback position both in the short and long term?

It’s really tough to say how Miami will tackle the QB position. I think their set on giving Henne one more shot although they will bring in some sort of competition for him this off season. I think Henne starts this year and if it’s another season like this past one they draft a QB in next year’s draft.

3. What does the future hold for both Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams? Are they both gone?

Should we be interested in #10?

I remember like it was yesterday. I was starting the tradition of going to every single home finale for the Bills. Yes, I was there for the classic blizzard game against the Colts B-team and the monsoon turned snowstorm game against the Giants. Cheap tickets for priceless fun. Anyways, the first game that I went to was against the Titans in 2006. This was actually an important game for the Bills, as they still had a mathematical chance at making the playoffs with a 7-7 record.

Could Vince Young Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick for Buffalo Bills?

In my last post, I went over five offensive tackles that the Buffalo Bills should go after once free agency begins. Now, it's time to take a look at some quarterbacks that Bills General Manager Buddy Nix could take a look at this off-season.

Keep in mind that Ryan Fitzpatrick has a firm grasp on the starting job under center, and these players would serve as backups, while competing with Brian Brohm and Levi Brown for the No. 2 and No. 3 spots on the depth chart. Fitzpatrick was a leader on the Bills offense, and made every game entertaining, no matter the outcome, passing for 3,000 yards along with 23 touchdowns, despite starting just 14 games. no comments

Behind enemy lines: Q&A with a Patriots Blogger

Written by Brian Bund on .

I recently participated in a Q&A with the Patriots Foxboro Blog that should be posted on their site shortly.  Having taken the time to answer some of their questions, it prompted me to ask them to return the favor for eveyone hear at Buffalowins.  Ricky Keller from the site was gracious enough to take the time to answer my questions:

1. Entering the NFL Draft with 3 of the top 33 picks, how would you rate the outcome?

I give the Patriots a B+ in the Draft. I thought they made some picks to help their team now and in the future, especially taking Nate Solder in the first round. I'll admit it was upsetting to see them trade away the 28th pick when they had the chance to get a sure fire playmaker in Mark Ingram. They did not get a pass rusher in the first round, or in any round for that matter. But, with the offensive line potentially losing 3/5 of what they had in 2010, they made a smart pick getting a big lineman in Solder who can either start right away or can learn from one of the best left tackles out there in Matt Light. The pick of Cannon was a steal and I think they got some okay playmakers offensively for the next couple of years.

Buffalo Bills Free Agency Targets Part One: Jared Gaither And The Top 5 Offensive Linemen

The Buffalo Bills have had a hard time finding solidarity at the offensive tackle position, especially on the right side.

They haven't a tackle in the first half of the draft in years, opting for Ed Wang in the fifth round last year, and Chris Hairston in the fourth this year.

With the issues surrounding the pending agreement to a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Bills haven't been able to approach any soon-to-be free agents that could bolster their roster, bumping them from being perennial losers in the AFC East.

Here, we take a look at some offensive tackles that could solidify the ends of the Bills' front line.

The Buffalo Bills NEED To Resign Paul Posluszny

Pending the agreement upon a new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the National Football League's Player's Association and the owners, Buffalo Bills inside linebacker, Paul Posluszny, is slated to become an unrestricted free agent.

Drafted with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, Posluszny has been a leader and a playmaker on the Buffalo Bills defense, despite it's struggles over the years.
